We are not the architect

Meisterwerk Fitout LLC began as the executive arm of Aedes Design & Management, established in 2012 to meet the organisational and quality standards the luxury retail network demands. It grew out of a long-standing collaboration with Vysagh Ashokan into a partnership built on a shared enthusiasm for luxury retail fit-outs, and today runs across three countries with fully structured in-house teams in each.

A maison arrives with a store manual, a drawing set and a tolerance. What it does not arrive with is a slab that is level, a bulkhead at the right height, or a mall willing to close for the work. Closing that gap — between the drawing and the building as found — is the whole of what we do.

Joinery, vitrines, lacquer and solid surface are produced in our own 60,000 square foot facility in Dubai Investment Park, staffed by more than 150 people. From civil works and MEP through to upholstery and complex finishes, projects are executed entirely in-house; only specialised electroplating and metal finishing goes out, to a trusted sister company. That vertical integration is the reason we can hold a finish standard across a programme rather than hope for one.

Almost everything we build is under a confidentiality covenant that extends to the store’s existence, not only its photographs. Where a maison has granted permission we name them. Where they have not, the work appears here in anonymised form, with the scope and the programme intact.
